SiteBurg.com offers some very interesing and unusual for free webhosts features like SSH, server logs, sendmail access, 10Mb file size limit. They also offer UNLIMITED free web hosting for interesting/developed web sites.

However, there are some disadvantages: SendMail is restricted to 200 letters per day; and they only allow web sites in English, German, French, Spanish or Italian languages. They do implement forced ads in free hosting users web sites: a banner block at the top of each page.
